Privacy

The short version

We collect what we need to show you your ballot, and nothing we’d be embarrassed to explain. We don’t sell your data, we don’t share it with campaigns, and we don’t use it for political advertising.

What we collect

Your account: your email address and password.
Where you vote: your zip code and, if you add it, your street address, used to match you to your districts.
Your priorities: the issues you rank and your Stance Check answers.
Payments: handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
Basic usage: pages visited, device type, and similar technical details, so we can keep the site working.

How we use it

To show you the races and measures on your ballot.
To order your guide and feed around the issues you picked.
To send you the emails you asked for, like the Brief or alerts.
To run, secure, and improve HUSH.

What we never do

Sell your personal information, to anyone, at any price.
Share your issues, answers, or address with campaigns, parties, PACs, or advocacy groups.
Use your political views to target ads at you.
Tell anyone how you answered or how you plan to vote.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run HUSH., such as hosting, payments, and email delivery. They’re contractually limited to using your data to provide that service. We’ll also disclose information if the law requires it, and we’ll tell you when we’re legally allowed to.

Your choices

See and download the data we hold about you.
Correct your address, issues, or email at any time.
Delete your account, and your data with it.
Unsubscribe from any email with one click.

To make a request, send us a message through our Contact page and choose “General question.” We’ll respond within 30 days.

Children

HUSH. isn’t intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and tell you by email before the change takes effect. Last updated September 30, 2026.
